Bourbon Rises Again

Rises Again

Where, why and how bourbon is thriving

A spirit has bourgeoned around bourbon over the past five years. Small-batch brewing, new brands, accent flavors and pop culture prominence have contributed to a global influx of bourbon consumption. Kentucky produces 95 percent of all bourbon, and the state has not hesitated to capitalize on growing interest around the spirit. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is a tour of eight distilleries across the state, and participants can fill passports by collecting stamps at each stop. Click through the map below to see how many Bourbon Trail passport holders come from each state.
